At the Central Bank of Sri Lanka indicative rate for 30 October 2026 (C$1 = Rs 238.12), the Toronto price is about Rs 524,436.

Here is how customs works. The Sri Lankan passenger allowance only covers a traveler's own belongings and gifts for family. A laptop bought for another person has to be declared, and the full levies paid. Laptops are duty-free at the tariff level, yet PAL, VAT and SSCL are still charged. At a conservative 32.55% of value that is about Rs 170,704, for a total of roughly Rs 695,139. That is still close to Rs 99,860 (about 12.6%) below the Colombo price, before you even look at a trip to Jaffna.
